Thank you for listening to our podcast with Eva Bartos, Health and Wellness Coach.
On 29th January 2020, Eva received a phone call telling her she had breast cancer.
She thought she pulled a muscle in her chest after exercising, was investigating and then found a strange lump instead. She made the decision to get it checked further. It was not in a place where a mammogram would find it so fortunately, she had a brilliant doctor ready to support her. As Eva said, ‘she was like a pit bull in a skirt!’
This is Eva’s story on how she managed chemo, surgery and recovery through learning to love and care for herself more. She shared so many insights with us in our recording but here are four tips in particular she focuses on now:
- Surround yourself with a support system
- Take it easy and give yourself some grace
- Learn to set priorities
- Protect your peace
